Just a bit about me...

It took me awhile to find this place, but here I am! Hi everyone! If you don't know me, I go by UmiKagami at the EA forums and just Umi everywhere else. I am a rabid Sims fan and love all aspects of the games, including building! IRL I have a pretty boring life, I work retail and live at home with my parents and my younger brother and sister.

I guess that's about it...I'm off to explore the rest of the site!

I never know what to say in these places. I live now in Somerset and have done for four years. This is a long time for me as I have spent most of my life travelling around the world - sometimes thats fantastic and then sometimes its a bunch of saurkraut.

Anyway nowadays I look after my very elderly mum, she has cancer, which of course means bad days at the moment we are doing good days (yipee!!).

I am divorced, hubby having left with his secretary some ten years past. Poor man is now dying of multiple myeloma, nasty cancer that and we chat and write sometimes, but he is very weak. It is very sad to lose friends and I will lose him for ever quite soon.

I paint, make cards, mess about with glue and paper, sew (Oh nothing useful!) I think they call it altered art - I call it sticking stuff in unexpected places!

I love the Sims. I was fascinated at first with the relationships, then I realised I could redecorate the houses they lived in, then I downloaded alot from Ripmylot, a White Virginian house redone by hmmmmmmm pogiman? And then I thought after a while, slow me, what if I build a whole new house. And so is born a new obcession.

I likes my avatar......... I think I will keep her for a while!!

And I will get over the emoticons eventually!

I love doing craft stuff, too! Cards are so much fun to make!

Hehe. Well, I thought I should add this:

Both my parents have had surgery, my mom has had cancer, is going to have surgery to get a benign tumor removed What a good family. I am semi-normal, I have minor anger issues though so don't take it personally if I last out at you for no reason
